Billy Collins is a Senior Financial Planner for Henssler Financial, supporting Managing Associate D. James Barker, CWS®. His responsibilities include assisting with client cash flow projections, processing client information, and providing client services support.

Before joining Henssler Financial, Mr. Collins spent nearly 10 years as a Registered Nurse with Northside Hospital systems, working in medical-surgical, intermediate, and critical care units. With a strong interest in finances and investing, Mr. Collins sought to combine his passions. In 2022 he founded Collins Financial Management, LLC, a registered investment adviser, to serve nurses and other healthcare professionals as a financial adviser and fiduciary, offering individualized services. His goal was to help those in the health care professionals develop a financial plan and manage their investments in a deeply personal and meaningful way by listening to their concerns about their personal financial situation and feelings about money.

In his position at Henssler, Mr. Collins will implement the financial plans he creates with his clients, manage their investments, and help them navigate the best course to reach their financial goals.

Mr. Collins earned a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Columbus State University. He also earned his Master of Business Administration from Valdosta State University and has completed the Certified Financial Planner Certification Education program from the University of Georgia. He has passed the Certified Financial Planner™ exam, and is working to fulfill the work experience requirement.

Additionally, Mr. Collins is an Enrolled Agent and holds the FINRA Series 65 license and eMoney Fundamentals Certification. He is a Registered Nurse in Georgia.
