Thursday’s session closed in positive territory. Brands climbed on promising Greece news and declining jobless claims. Greek political leaders have reached a deal on austerity measures and deep structural reforms. The plan ensures the country will receive a second bailout and avoid a messy debt default. Meanwhile, the Labor Department said initial jobless claims fell by 15,000 to 358,000 last week. Elsewhere, crude oil tacked on $1.13 to settle at $99.84 a barrel. On the horizon, the University of Michigan is set to release preliminary consumer confidence numbers tomorrow.
