Indices ended in green territory on Wednesday, June 10, 2019. The NASDAQ Composite closed at a new record high and the S&P 500 Index briefly rose above 3,000 for the first time. Stocks rallied on the release of FOMC minutes as well as the semiannual Monetary Policy Report to Congress. Comments from both suggested the central bank would cut interest rates. On another note, crude oil prices climbed on concern that a tropical depression could accelerate and expand into a hurricane before landing on the Upper Texas Coast. For the session, West Texas Intermediate crude tacked on $2.50 to settle at $60.33 per barrel.
