Stocks traded lower on Thursday. Brands including Amazon, Microsoft, Apple and Facebook led the downswing. Meanwhile, Kroger and Barnes & Noble dipped following the release of mixed earnings details. On another note, initial jobless claims decreased last week. Department of Labor data showed first-time claims fell by 3,000 to 223,000 in the week ended March 2. Looking elsewhere, crude oil climbed. West Texas Intermediate crude jumped 0.6% today to settle at $56.54 a barrel.
