Indices ended in the red zone Friday. Chevron and Hewlett-Packard led declines on the Dow. Stocks took a breather in abbreviated post-Thanksgiving trading. Meanwhile, eurozone news failed to impress. Standard & Poor’s slashed Belgium’s credit rating and Greece is demanding private investors accept greater losses on their debt. On another note, crude oil tacked on 81 cents to settle at $96.96 a barrel. Looking ahead, Belgium is set to auction off securities, including 10-year debt, on Monday.
