The S&P 500 and Nasdaq posted gains ahead of the G-20 summit set to kick off this weekend in Osaka, Japan. On another note, Nike tacked on 1.34% today. The sports apparel titan reported earnings of 62 cents per share after the closing bell. Results were shy of analysts estimates of 66 cents. Revenue of $10.2 billion exceeded expectations of $10.16 billion. Looking elsewhere, initial jobless claims increased last week. Labor Department data, released today, showed new claims climbed by 10,000 to 227,000 in the week ended June 22.
