MARCH 2019. KENNESAW, Ga.— Eight bright interns joined Henssler Financial for our Spring Internship program across four departments.
“We are incredibly fortunate to be able to work with individuals who are bright, motivated, and eager to learn,” said Stacy Haubenschild, Chief Operating Officer for Henssler Financial. “We strive to give our interns real opportunities to physically work through assignments rather than just watch how we work. We want to give them the chance to add real-world experience to their résumés.”
Alex Del Nodal and Rachel Straiton, both from Kennesaw State University, have joined the Planning & Implementation department, where they will be learning how to create projections for client’s future cash flows and implementing investment strategies. Alex is a Junior Analyst for Kennesaw’s Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) and a member of the Organization for Latin American Students. Rachel is a Junior in the Coles College of Business, who proudly maintains her spot on the Dean’s List and is involved in the Mudslingers Ceramics Club.
Amanda Watson, who is enrolled at Georgia Northwestern Technical College for Applied Science in Web Design and Development, joined the Marketing Department where she will be assisting with building Henssler Financial’s redesigned website. Amanda will graduate in the Spring with her Associate’s Degree and plans to continue her education at Kennesaw State University.
Anthony Antoun, and Cristina Garcia, both Accounting majors at Kennesaw, and Matthew Buncich, a December graduate of Kennesaw, joined the Tax & Accounting Division, where they will be learning to prepare individual, business, trust, and gift tax returns and to estimate quarterly tax payments for clients. Anthony, a senior, was also named to the Dean’s List and is on track to graduate in July. Cristina is a Junior, pursuing a degree in accounting. She made the Dean’s List for the Fall 2018 semester and has participated in the Student Accounting Society club. Matthew was president of the Club Tennis Team while he was in college and is planning to sit for the CPA exam this summer.
Luis Ramirez, a Finance Sophomore at Kennesaw, joins Will Tuten, a senior at Kennesaw, in the Research department where they help maintain the monitoring system for our model portfolios and stock universe and assist with research requests from the Planning & Implementation department. Luis is also a member of the Student Managed Investment Fund team at Kennesaw. Will served as an Analyst for two semesters on the Student Managed Investment Fund and is currently competing with the Kennesaw State team on the CFA Research Challenge.
