The Dow closed well over the 25K mark on Thursday. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq also traded up to new all-time highs. Brands such as International Business Machines and DowDuPont led advancers on the Dow. Stocks gained on a variety of economic news. Initial jobless claims increased last week. Labor Department data showed an uptick of 3,000 to 250,000 new claims while the prior week’s level was upwardly revised by 2,000 to 247,000. Looking elsewhere, crude oil climbed. West Texas Intermediate oil tacked on 38 cents to settle at $62.01 a barrel.
