Benefits of Working with a Fee Only Adviser

While technology has made access to quality information on a variety of investment products easier for the average investor, it can be a full-time job to do the extensive research required to make sound investment decisions for a well-diversified portfolio. Investors often turn to professional financial advisers for help because talking with an adviser can help identify a broad range of financial priorities and goals.

At Henssler Financial, we strive to help clients create a comprehensive financial plan that incorporates all areas of their financial situation, including different asset classes, tax considerations, insurance needs, planning for college, estate, elderly care and retirement planning. Henssler Financial is also a fee-only adviser, earning compensation from fees paid by flat fee or retainer, hourly fee or a fee based on a percentage of assets under management.

Put simply, we work for the client with no agenda other than helping the client reach financial planning and investment goals. We do not work for commissions or incentives, and we do not sell investments from an inventory that we already own. We are not obligated to a particular bank, brokerage firm or insurance company. We provide straightforward portfolio management that is designed to be in our client’s best interest. As a fee-only adviser, our incentive is in direct relation to our clients’ portfolios; as our clients perform better, so do we. Our objective is to grow our clients’ assets at a steady rate without incurring excessive risk or unnecessary trading costs.

We feel the fee-only type of compensation works hand in hand with our investment doctrine of basing financial decisions on economic truths and financial facts that are backed by historical data and academic studies, not on short-term market fads or hype. Henssler Financial focuses on long-term investments. Our advice is not motivated by the frequency of trades, and therefore, is more likely to foster the success of a portfolio.

Our financial planning approach remains consistent and does not change with the whims of the markets. The asset allocation and investment selection processes are based on strict rules and criteria that remain consistent through all market conditions. We strive to provide investors with the opportunity to get more service out of our professional, objective advice and stock-picking expertise.

We strive to create well-founded financial plans for our clients while attempting to provide them with financial security throughout their life. We are disciplined and committed to providing and implementing recommendations that are supportive of our client’s unique goals and circumstances. We aim to help our clients comfortably reach their goals for retirement and life. Providing a consistently high level of service that meets the needs of our individual clients is critical to this process.
