Patricia T. Henssler, C.P.A., is the Principal in P.T. Henssler, C.P.A., LLC, a public accounting firm. It is affiliated with the Tax & Accounting Division of Henssler Financial. Daniel J. DiLuzio, C.P.A., founded Dickinson & DiLuzio, Certified Public Accountants, LLC in 1991 with business partner Dennis Dickinson. In 2007, Dickinson & DiLuzio, Certified Public Accountants, LLC merged with Henssler Financial to form DiLuzio & Henssler, Inc.

Mr. DiLuzio serves high net worth individuals, corporations, small businesses, estates, trusts and non-profit organizations with tax and accounting services, such as business valuations, fraud examinations and audits, investment banking and tax consulting.

Mr. DiLuzio earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and attended the Master of Taxation program at Georgia State University. His prior work experience includes shareholder positions with North Atlanta C.P.A. firms and as a senior tax accountant in the Washington, D.C. office of Arthur Andersen & Company.

John W. Dickson III, C.P.A., CFP®, CVA - Tax Manager

John W. Dickson III, C.P.A., CFP®, CVA, brings nearly two decades of experience to Henssler Financial’s Tax & Accounting Division and public accounting firm P.T. Henssler, C.P.A., LLC. 

Mr. Dickson joined the firm in January 2014 as a Tax Manager. His experience is concentrated in tax planning and compliance for corporations and partnerships, working with closely held entities in the professional services, manufacturing, technology, transportation, construction and real estate industries. He emphasizes minimizing the overall tax burden and addressing the individual tax needs of the closely held entity owners. Mr. Dickson assists clients with capital investment tax planning strategies, specifically the 179D tax deduction for energy efficient commercial buildings, Research and Development Tax Credits and Georgia Retraining Credits.

Beyond tax compliance, Mr. Dickson partners with his clients and helps them create a competitive advantage by including the tax perspective in all business objectives and decisions.

As a Certified Valuation Analyst accredited through the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, Mr. Dickson is particularly qualified to provide business valuation services. His extensive training and his experience in accounting for small businesses and financial analysis provide Mr. Dickson with an excellent background for dealing with the complexities involved in providing valuation services.

Marian Macleod-Elliott, C.P.A. - Senior Tax Consultant

Jennifer C. Peters, C.P.A. - Senior Accountant

Jennifer C. Peters, C.P.A., is Senior Accountant in the Operations Department at Henssler Financial. Bringing more than 25 years of tax and accounting experience, Ms. Peters joined Henssler Financial in January 2014. Ms. Peters’ responsibilities focus on handling the accounting needs for clients’ small family offices, including sophisticated individual income tax and wealth transfer planning. In addition, she handles day-to-day administrative, accounting and payroll activities. Ms. Peters also assists with bookkeeping and accounting for the real estate and property management division.

Prior to joining Henssler, Ms. Peters was an Internal Auditor for the Cobb County School District, working closely with administration and local schools to ensure compliance with Georgia state law, administrative rules and GAAP reporting. She also spent 10 years with the Internal Revenue Service, specializing in individual taxation and taxpayer education.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern Connecticut State University. Ms. Peters is a Certified Public Accountant.

Shawna L. Theriault, C.P.A., CFP®

Tina Burgess - Tax & Business Consultant

Tina Burgess joined the firm in February 2018, bringing more than 15 years of experience to the Henssler Tax & Accounting Division. She is skilled in both corporate and individual tax preparation, financial statement compilation, and QuickBooks advisory services. Her responsibilities include reviewing client financial statements, tax planning and preparation, and assisting with the accounting and bookkeeping needs of clients.

Prior to joining Henssler, Ms. Burgess spent more than 10 years as a Tax Senior Accountant at PYA, P.C., a nation-wide leader in healthcare consulting, tax and accounting, where she specialized in accounting and advisory services for medical practices, including QuickBooks and back office training.

Ms. Burgess earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Kennesaw State University and a Bachelor of Health Science in Public Health from Georgia Southern University–Armstrong in Savannah, Ga. (formerly Armstrong Atlantic State University).  Ms. Burgess is a Certified QuickBooks Desktop ProAdvisor®, a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor®, and a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs.

Jessie Thomas, C.P.A. - Tax & Business Consultant

Jessie Thomas, C.P.A., is a Tax Consultant at DiLuzio & Henssler, Inc., a Division of Henssler Financial. Ms. Thomas joined the firm in August 2017, helping prepare returns for clients, conducting tax reviews for potential clients, assisting in tax planning, and helping with advocacy to federal and state organizations for clients as necessary. Ms. Thomas has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and certificates in both finance and business law and ethics from The Georgia Institute of Technology. Ms. Thomas graduated with high honors. She is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs.

Emily Rubenstein - Tax & Business Consultant

Emily Rubenstein is a Tax & Business Consultant with Henssler Financial’s Tax & Accounting Division. Ms. Rubenstein began working at Henssler as a tax intern in January 2017. Upon graduation, she accepted a full-time position in July 2018.

Ms. Rubenstein’s responsibilities include reviewing client financial statements, working with individuals and small-business owners to prepare tax projections and preparation, and providing bookkeeping, tax planning and consulting services.
