Gene W. Henssler, Ph.D.
President and Chief Investment Officer

Gene W. Henssler, Ph.D., is responsible for the overall direction of the firm, which offers financial advice and portfolio management to individual, corporate and institutional clients. Henssler Financial, which includes federally registered investment advisers G.W. Henssler & Associates, Ltd. and Henssler Asset Management, LLC, is headquartered in Kennesaw, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta, with an additional office in Atlanta Perimeter area. The firm was founded by Dr. Henssler in March 1987 at the urging of friends and acquaintances who sought his counsel and advice for investing their money.

After earning both his Master of Business Administration and doctorate in finance at the University of Michigan, Dr. Henssler taught at Georgia State University, University of Toledo and Grand Valley State University in Michigan. In 1986 he became a Professor of Finance at Kennesaw State University, taking an early retirement in 1996. Dr. Henssler holds the title of Professor Emeritus of Finance at Kennesaw State University.

As a renowned professor in finance, Dr. Henssler was tapped by Atlanta talk radio to host “Money Talks,” an investment advice radio show. The show has aired for more than 25 years and has developed a large following. Dr. Henssler also appears as a featured guest on the major network affiliate TV stations in Atlanta and Georgia Public Television as well as nationally on CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg Television and Fox News. A former columnist for the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Dr. Henssler has written numerous articles for newspapers, magazines and professional journals dealing with a wide variety of financial topics. Dr. Henssler is also a registered representative of ALPS Distributors, Inc.

Patricia T. Henssler, C.P.A.
Principal, Treasurer and Office Manager

Patricia T. Henssler, C.P.A., is the Principal in P.T. Henssler, C.P.A., LLC, a public accounting firm. It is affiliated with the Tax & Accounting Division of Henssler Financial. Her previous background includes two assistant professor positions at both Grand Valley State College in Michigan and Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. She was also Senior Staff Tax Accountant with Bennett Thrasher, P.C. Ms. Henssler received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toledo, her Master of Business Administration from Michigan State University, and attended Kennesaw State University for credits necessary for Certified Public Accountancy.

William G. Lako, Jr., CFP®
Principal and Managing Director

William G. Lako, Jr., CFP®, is Managing Director and a Principal of G.W. Henssler & Associates, Ltd. and Henssler Asset Management, LLC. He is responsible for overall company management. In addition, Mr. Lako serves as Vice President of The Henssler Funds, Inc., which runs The Henssler Equity Fund. Mr. Lako received his Bachelor of Business Administration, major in Finance, from Kennesaw State University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certificant. He holds the Series 7, Series 26, Series 28, Series 63 and Series 65 registrations. Mr. Lako is a registered representative of ALPS.

Michael S. Quinlan
Principal and Chief Operating Officer

Retired U.S. Navy Cmdr. Michael S. Quinlan is the Chief Operating Officer and a Principal G.W. Henssler & Associates, Ltd. Mr. Quinlan is responsible for ongoing business operations. Additionally, he is responsible for development and implementation of long-term strategies to ensure the growth of client relationships and development of employees.

Mr. Quinlan spent 22 years flying with the Navy. During his distinguished career, he held significant leadership positions with various squadrons and staffs. Most recently, he served as the Director of the Office of Strategic Management for the Commander Naval Air Force Reserve. Specializing in strategic business planning, he instituted the balanced scorecard corporate performance management program for an organization of more than 8,500 employees. Prior to entering the Navy, Mr. Quinlan worked as a financial planner in Dunwoody, Ga. Previously, Mr. Quinlan held the Series 7 and Series 63 securities registrations. He graduated with honors from Kennesaw State University earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance.

Scott L. Keller, CFA
Principal

Scott L. Keller, CFA, is a Principal for G.W. Henssler & Associates, Ltd. and Henssler Asset Management, LLC. He is responsible for all institutional investors with the firm. Mr. Keller spearheaded the creation of The Henssler Equity Fund, the firm's first mutual fund, and directs marketing and public relations efforts on the fund's behalf. Before coming to Henssler Asset Management, LLC, Mr. Keller worked in the banking industry for nine years. He began his career as a credit analyst for The Trust Company of Georgia. After more than a year, Mr. Keller joined The Fuji Bank, Limited as a marketing officer where he worked for seven years. Promoted four times, he rose to the position of vice president and serviced clients throughout the Southeast. Recruited by Henssler in 1997, Mr. Keller led the firm's efforts to establish The Henssler Equity Fund that debuted in June 1998. The Henssler Equity Fund continues to grow at a steady pace. Mr. Keller earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance at the University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration from Mercer University. He is a CFA Charter Holder. He holds the Series 6, Series 26, Series 63 and Series 65 registrations and is a CFA Charterholder. Mr. Keller is also a registered representative of ALPS Distributors, Inc.

Theodore L. Parrish, CFA
Principal and Director of Investments

Theodore L. Parrish, CFA is the Director of Investments at G.W. Henssler & Associates, Ltd. and Henssler Asset Management, LLC with responsibilities of managing all research and trading activities of the firm. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Finance, from Kennesaw State University. He holds the Series 7, Series 63 and Series 65 registrations and is a CFA charterholder. Mr. Parrish is a member of the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts and a member of the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP). Mr. Parrish is a registered representative of ALPS.

Mr. Parrish was named to Georgia Trend’s “40 Under 40” list for 2009 that represents 40 high-achieving Georgians under the age of 40 who are influencing the state’s future in business, government, education, the arts and charitable organizations. He was selected from 165 nominated candidates from around the state who are helping shape Georgia’s future through their business and community involvement.

Mr. Parrish was also recognized on the 2009 FIVE STAR Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth Managers list in the October issue of Atlanta Magazine. He was honored among 579 of Atlanta’s top-scoring wealth managers who embody the characteristics that make up great client satisfaction. The magazine estimates there are more than 15,000 wealth managers in the Atlanta area.

Jennifer J. Thomas, CFP®
Principal and Senior Managing Associate

Jennifer J. Thomas, CFP®, is Senior Managing Associate and Principal for G.W. Henssler & Associates, Ltd. overseeing the Planning & Implementation Department including Associates, Account Executives, and Assistants. Previously, she worked for six years as a broker for First American National Securities, and four years as a Broker for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. before joining Henssler in 1994 as an assistant. Ms. Thomas holds the Series 6, Series 63 and Series 65 registrations. Ms. Thomas is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certificant.

Connie E. Holt, E.A., ATA, ATP
Principal

Connie E. Holt, E.A., ATA, ATP, joined Henssler Financial's Tax & Accounting Division in 1994. She brought more than 10 years of experience in accounting management in the private sector. Ms. Holt has contributed her experience to the operations of the business, as well as becoming a Principal.

Ms. Holt is an IRS Enrolled Agent, an Accredited Tax Advisor, and Accredited Tax Preparer. The ATA credential is for practitioners, who handle sophisticated tax planning issues, including planning for owners of closely held businesses, planning for the highly compensated, choosing qualified retirement plans and performing estate tax planning. Her expertise and ethical training covers tax returns for individuals, business entities, fiduciaries, trusts and estates, as well as tax planning and consulting. The ATP credential is for practitioners, who have a thorough knowledge of the existing tax code and the preparation of individual, corporate and partnership tax returns. Credentials are earned through examination and course work, and maintained by adhering to a strict code of ethics and participating in Continuing Professional Education.
