Indices End Trading in the Green

Indices landed in green territory on Tuesday. The Dow maintained gains while the Nasdaq closed at a new record high. Technology brands Apple and IBM led Dow advancers while energy stocks such as Chevron, Anadarko Petroleum and Occidental Petroleum traded lower on slipping oil. U.S. oil prices dipped 1.6% today to settle at $52.17 a barrel. On another note, Walt Disney posted quarterly data after the closing bell. The media giant exceeded expectations on earnings while revenue details were shy of estimates. Looking ahead to Wednesday, companies such as Whole Foods Market, Time Warner and Paycom Software will release earnings.
